How to Care for Your Candle

1. The First Burn is Key: The first time you light your candle sets the stage for how it will burn in the future. Allow your candle to burn until the entire top layer of wax has melted to the edges. This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of the candle.

2. Trim the Wick: Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This keeps the flame controlled and reduces soot. A properly trimmed wick also prevents the candle from burning too quickly.

3. Burn Time Matters: It’s recommended to burn your candle for no less than 1 hour and no more than 4 hours at a time. This helps the candle to burn evenly and preserves its longevity.

4. Avoid Drafts: Place your candle in an area free from drafts to prevent uneven burning and excess smoke. Drafts can cause the flame to flicker too much, leading to soot buildup and a reduction in the candle’s lifespan.

5. Safety First: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from flammable objects, children, and pets. When only 1/2 inch of wax remains, it’s time to say goodbye to your candle – continuing to burn past this point can be a safety hazard.

6. Repurpose the Jar: Once your candle has fully burned, repurpose the elegant glass jar. It can serve as a beautiful container for plants, makeup brushes, or small keepsakes.
